We are seeking students who are ready to collaborate with peers, manage their time responsibly, and engage deeply with both academic and project-based work.
Our school has long embraced intuitive learning and the encouragement of developing autonomy. As our students grow into THRIVE’s high school program, they utilize these valuable skills to tackle bigger projects and ideas. Our high school program is all about critical inquiry. Our students are encouraged to ask us and themselves: “How does this work?” “Why does it work that way?” As educators, we guide them towards these questions until, soon enough, they take the reins and pursue answers for themselves.
THRIVE Academy’s high school program strives to intertwine traditional academic disciplines with real-world context and applications. Our program teaches students to see how different structures and ideas work together and cultivates critical thinking so that they can succeed as educated and independent young adults in whatever path they choose.
Our program has been explicitly designed to encourage the development and understanding of multiple perspectives. History is interwoven with social-emotional learning that expands our students' worldviews and encourages empathy. We link historical events with the literature and art of that time. Math and science discoveries are related to the figures who developed them. Research and narrative projects explore important figures and events while developing writing skills. Nothing stands apart.
Our 2026-2027 high school class with be open to 9th and 10th graders, and future years will be added as our current students grow into those grades. The beginning of the day will focus on core academics—math, science, and English—while the latter half will delve into the arts and humanities. Designed with a tiered-system that rewards effort and understanding over letter grades, our curriculum encourages students to pursue genuine comprehension and teamwork over rote memorization. We aim to create engaged, active citizens who are informed and enthusiastic about building fulfilling lives that are full of genuine connection and opportunity, where they thrive.
