Empowering future adults today

Too often, students graduate with a diploma—but without a real plan. They know how to take tests but not how to manage money, launch careers, or navigate life.

At THRIVE Academy, we believe education should be different.

THRIVE Academy is not a traditional Montessori school extension.
It’s a next step—a bridge between childhood and adulthood.

THRIVE Academy is a unique and growing program

Our student led clubs will be offered in the afternoons form 2:30-3:30pm. What makes these so enriching is that our students brainstorm club ideas together, collaborate in choosing and creating them, and are entirely responsible for designing club structure, financing, leaders, and anything else the club needs.

We will be offering additional workshops and opportunities throughout the year for students to participate in. While we do not have a set event schedule at this time, some of our goals include improve and cafe nights, photography workshops, student dances, end of year ceremonies, and more.

We currently operate as a homeschool co-op, but our vision is to evolve into a full-fledged microschool designed specifically for homeschooling families. We’re committed to hiring passionate educators and professionals—always striving to find the absolute best person for each class. Our diverse team of teachers challenges students to think beyond the classroom, encouraging debate, critical thinking, and hands-on learning that sticks.

When Faith Montessori Community started the THRIVE Academy Program, we wanted to offer students a way to stay a part of our community past elementary school while helping families outsource a selection of courses. However, it evolved into something so much more. Our community drew the attention of several incredible instructors that wanted to offer students a fresh perspective on education. The combined goals of our teachers and directors have shaped this program into an innovative alternative education source for families in Upstate SC. Our primary mission is to prepare students for any path they desire, not just academics, but real world readiness. We are filling a hole in education that so many families have been searching for. Because as parents, our primary goal isn’t raising perfect students. It is raising strong and capable adults.

How did THRIVE become what it is?

How will THRIVE help my student?

Just like anything else in life, your student will get out of our program what they put into it. Students that have a drive to learn, take extracurriculars that they are passionate about, and get involved in the THRIVE community will find themselves excelling in our program. We structure everything from our classes and clubs to student responsibilities in a way to encourage students to take control of their education and push them to get involved in ways that feels natural and true to who they are.

We are not a private school. While we offer exemplary education, parents remain the primary educator for their students and are the sole responsible party for their education. All homeschool families at THRIVE must be registered with a 3rd party accountability association. We provide grades for high school students; however, we cannot write your students transcripts and are not responsible for ensuring they have all the required credits for graduation. That being said, we know that homeschooling a high school student is nerve-racking and have wonderful resources to help families through the process. What is THRIVE?

We started as part of Faith Montessori, but as our students grew, so did our vision.

As our students moved into their teen years, we saw a new need—a need for real-world readiness, leadership, and independence.
THRIVE Academy was created to meet that need: a place where students don't just learn about life, but actively prepare to live it.

Our kids are growing up, and we're growing with them.

Our Educators are...

We believe education is about more than grades — our teachers nurture confidence, critical thinking, responsibility, and leadership alongside academic excellence.

Our teachers foster a culture of respect, independence, and collaboration, helping students form meaningful connections with their peers and the world around them.

Beyond subject matter mastery, our instructors are skilled at adapting to the needs of individual students, helping them grow academically, personally, and socially.
